CRHA Loses a Pioneer
A Tribute to Linwood Nelms
Former CRHA Board Chairman and Commissioner
Linwood L. Nelms, Jr.
September 10, 1941 - January 8, 2023
Commissioner Linwood Nelms joined the CRHA Board of Commissioners on March 1, 2006 and served four consecutive terms through August 2020. He also served faithfully during his term as Board Chairman from August 2018 – August 2020.
A Celebration of Life was held for Commissioner Nelms on January 17, 2023 at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services. It was an honor and a pleasure to have Linwood Nelms serve on our Board of Commissioners.
A Resolution of Gratitude (for 14 years of service rendered) was generated for Commissioner Nelms in the Chesapeake Redevelopment & Housing Authority records in July 2020.
