CRHA was honored to host the 2019 Strong Families Initiative "Family Day"
on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Dr. Clarence Cuffee Community Center.
The Cuffee Center welcomed a lineup of CRHA partners and families in honor of this event. CRHA was expecting a turnout of over 200 guests but the unexpected inclimate weather prevented many families from attending. For those who were able to attend, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for our partners to meet parents and children in our CRHA communities. The initiative provided such services as financial counseling/savings plans, mentoring, STEM activities, Kingdom Kids youth programs, fire safety, healthy living, childcare assistance, home ownership opportunities and more. There were also interactive indoor games provided, grilled food items, snacks and more.
Many thanks to our partners who attended despite the weather.
Later the same evening, CRHA also hosted the Year-End 4th Quarter Red Carpet reception acknowledging Honor Roll students and Class of 2019 graduates. Students took the stage shortly after 6 PM to receive their accolades while parents and guests cheered them on.
CRHA sends a very special "THANK YOU" to AJ's Trophies in Chesapeake, VA for providing the trophies and Chick-Fil-A Indian River for the gift cards!!!!
