CRHA Partners with Chesapeake Human Services to open the City's First Homeless Resource Center
On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, Chesapeake's First Homeless Resource Center opened at 1468 South Military Highway in Suite 100. The ribbon-cutting ceremony included remarks from the Honorable Mayor Rick West; Mr. James Baker, Chesapeake City Manager; Maresa Driver, Chair for the Human Services Advisory Board; and Justin Brooks, Executive Director of CRHA. The event was the result of collaboration between the City of Chesapeake's Human Services Department and Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority in an effort to address homelessness in Chesapeake.

The Center is currently open from 7 AM - 7 PM and offers the following services:
- ADA Shower Facilities for Men and Women
- Community Laundry
- Lockers to Secure Personal Belongings
- Food (Breakfast, Lunch and snacks served daily)
- Intake to Human Services, CRHA, and or other programs and services
- Computer Stations
- Job Search & Resume Assistance
- CAST pick-up location (Monday-Friday)
