The Section 3 program requires that recipients of certain HUD financial assistance, to the greatest extent possible, provide job training, employment, and contract opportunities for low-or very-low income residents.
It is designed to provide employment and training opportunities to residents through projects and contracts in process within the community.
The Resident Services Department works with residents to determine current education, skill levels and job readiness, refer residents for employment opportunities, and coordinate additional education and job skills training to increase employability and job retention.
